HAJI SAID


Haji Mohd Said bin Pehin Orang Kaya Pekerma Setia Dato Paduka Haji Hashim SMB, PSB, PIKB, PKL, BSc (Hons), C Eng, MICE was born on 15th October 1953 in Brunei Darussalam.

Haji Mohd Said graduated from the University College of Cardiff, Wales in July 1978 with a BSc (Hons) in Civil and Structural. He was later awarded as a Chartered Engineer (C Eng) and a member of the Institute of Civil Engineers UK in January 1988.

Haji Mohd Said joined Brunei Government service as an Engineer in Public Works Department on 17 August 1978 and served in the department for eight years. He joined the Ministry of Defence as Assistant Director of Development and Work Services in February 1987. Prior to the appointment as Deputy Permanent Secretary I (Administration and Finance) in October 2004, he was the Director of Development and Work Services since 1994.

Haji Mohd Said is presently a member of Board of Directors of Islamic Development Bank of Brunei (IDBB) since 07 March 2002.

Haji Mohd Said was married to Hjh Mastini and they have been blessed with seven children (five sons and two daughters).
