Pehin Orang Kaya Laila Wijaya Dato Haji Abd Aziz Umar
Introduction His Excellency held many portfolios in the Brunei Government. His last appointment was as Minister of Education which he held from 1989 to 23rd May 2005, prior to that he was the Minister of Communications and the Minister of Education and Health. Before Brunei's independence in 1984, His Excellency was the Acting Chief Minister and held a number of positions in the civil service from his first appointment in 1964.
